I only post Credit Prices per the Gas Buddy guidelines that were in effect when I became a member. They have since changed their guidelines, but they are in direct conflict with their guidelines for discounts.
The price on the pump is posted as the credit price. If you want the "cash discount", you must pay in cash first. I'd say they succumbed to pressure from their sponsors and now support their bait-and-switch tactics.
How many people, who take the time to post prices on Gas Buddy, actually use cash? Probably very few, if you have a computer or smartphone to post prices, you probably pay with a credit card.
It cost me over $50 to fill up. Do you carry that much cash around with you?
